Importing From Updox into SOAPware

Last Updated: Oct 24, 2013 10:09AM EDT
This article walks through sending an item from Updox into a patients chart in SOAPware.

NOTE: To be able to see the Send Item or Send 'X' Selections buttons the previews of the individual pages must also be visible. Use the Show/Hide Previews button located at the top center of your Updox workspace to change the setting.

Importing all the pages of an item into a patients chart in SOAPware

  1. Click on the 'Send Item' button. A new window will open and you will see the pages for that item listed as attachments at the top of that window.
  2. In the 'Relate to Patient' field search for the patient you wish import the items for.
  3. Click the 'Send to EHR' button
  4. Complete the Title* and Notes fields as desired (*Title is required) (Title ex: lipid studies)
  5. Choose a Category NOTE: This is the section of the chart the item will be imported to. (ex: Labs)
  6. Choose a provider from the Assign To drop down. This will add the item to that providers Task List within SOAPware. If the patient has a default provider selected within SOAPware we fill the drop down with that providers name.
  7. Click 'Send' at the top of the page to initiate the import process.
NOTE: The Send Item button pulls in all the pages for that item. Because you used that button, we know you have used all the pages for that item, and we move the item itself out of your way and into the Archive. You can perform any actions on the pages while they are in the Archive that you could while they are in the Inbox; we just move it to get it out of your way.
