How to Create a PDF - Drag and Drop

This article is about how to use the Drag and Drop process to create a PDF (Portable Document Format) item from pages contained within Updox.

To create a PDF using all the pages for a single item:

  1. Select all the pages by placing a check in the box below each page. As an alternative, choose Select All from the Options menu located to the left of the pages display area. A new menu bar will appear at the top of the window.
  2. Drag the PDF icon (left most icon on the bar) from the new top menu bar onto your desktop or the folder where you would like to create the PDF.
  3. To rename the PDF after it has been created right click on the PDF and choose Rename.

To create a PDF using only some pages from an item:

  1. Select the pages you would like to include in the PDF by placing a check in the box below each page. A new menu bar will appear at the top of the window.
  2. Drag the PDF icon (left most icon on the bar) from the new top menu bar onto your desktop or the folder where you would like to create the PDF.
  3. To rename the PDF after it has been created right click on the PDF and choose Rename.
