Updox Keeps Asking Me to Update

Last Updated: Feb 12, 2013 12:41PM EST
If Updox is continually asking you to update, you can take the following steps to help resolve the issue.

Step 1

Update your Java program to the most recent available version (32bit).
To install the most recent version of Java visit www.java.com and use the big red download button. Be sure to use a 32bit version of your browser to install Java (not 64bit). (Note for Mac users: disregard bit information as you will have only one version available)

Step 2

Step two is to remove older versions of Java from your computer (Recommended by Java. See http://www.java.com/en/download/faq/remove_olderversions.xml).
You can follow the steps in this article to remove old versions of the Java program from your Windows computer: http://www.java.com/en/download/uninstall.jsp
You can follow the steps in this article to remove old versions of (Oracle) Java from your MAC: http://www.java.com/en/download/help/mac_uninstall_java.xml

Step 3 (if needed)

If your Updox Icon is missing from your desk top follow the steps here to replace it: Replacing Updox Desktop Icon.
